United Way of Winneshiek County Engages in Thriving United Way Self-Assessment

POSTED: June 17, 2025

United Way of Winneshiek County has recently completed the Thriving United Way Self-Assessment, a comprehensive organizational review conducted every three years as part of our membership with United Way Worldwide.

The Thriving United Way framework is designed to help local United Ways evaluate operations, identify strengths, and recognize areas for growth. This process supports transparency, strengthens strategic planning, and ensures that we are well-positioned to serve the evolving needs of our community.

Facilitated in partnership with United Way Worldwide, the assessment covers key areas such as governance, financial management, community engagement, resource development, and equity. The insights gathered will inform internal decision-making and guide the next steps in our work.

As part of this effort, community feedback is a critical component. We invite residents, partners, and stakeholders to provide input through a short feedback form. Your perspective helps us better understand community priorities and shape our future strategies.

There are two ways to participate:

  1. Complete the assessment online: Thriving United Way Organizational Self-Assessment
  2. Download and print a copy of the assessment: Thriving United Way Self Assessment (Printable Version)

Completed forms can be mailed to:

For those interested in learning more, we’ve also included a supplemental document that explains the purpose and value of the Thriving United Way Self-Assessment: Thriving United Way Self Assessment Guidance

Thank you for supporting this important work. With your input, we can continue to build a stronger, more resilient Winneshiek County.
